Kanye West’s Model Dragged To Court For Wire Fraud, Access Device Fraud And Aggravated Identity Theft
“Clermont’s new reality is federal prosecution for her alleged nefarious conduct,” Berman said
One of Kanye West’s models Shannade Clermont has been slapped with criminal charges after allegedly being linked to the death of a man, who she reportedly agreed to go on a date with for $400.
Shannade was accused of stealing the man’s debit card information after he died of drugs overdose in his house following a prostitution date with her. She was reportedly found by a doorman at the apartment building with the unnamed victim hours before he was found dead of cocaine and fentanyl overdose.
Shannade is said to have spent the money on her rent and phone bills as well as plane tickets and several online purchases, dropping thousands on clothes and merchandise.
She’s currently facing three federal criminal charges, including wire fraud, access device fraud and aggravated identity theft for taking the debit card information and racking up $20,000 in charges.
U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said authorities will go after the model. “As alleged, Shannade Clermont, a former cast member of the Bad Girls Club, lived up to her reality series reputation.”
“Clermont’s new reality is federal prosecution for her alleged nefarious conduct,” Berman said.
UPDATE: Shannade Clermont has been released on a $100,000 bond. She was seen leaving the courthouse with her twin sister, Shannon, but covered her face and said nothing.
The U.S. Attorney tells The Blast Clermont’s bond was co-signed by two “financially responsible persons,” plus she must submit to drug testing and treatment, pretrial supervision, surrendering of all travel documents and must refrain from “possession of personally identifiable information.” She is also not allowed to possess a firearm.
Clermont was released on the signature of her twin sister.
Shannade Clermont starred alongside her twin sister Shannon, in Kanye’s famous Yeezy season six promotional images, which dropped earlier this year.
