Wendy Williams Reveals She’s Suffering From Graves’ Disease And Is Taking 2 Weeks Off
Sounds like she'll be okay, but her doctor says she immediately needs to take 3 weeks of vacation. Wendy says she's only taking 2 weeks ... starting tomorrow.
After weeks of rumors and speculation regarding her health, Wendy Williams came forward and revealed she’s suffering from Grave’s disease and needs to take time off.
Wendy announced at the top of Wednesday’s show that she’s suffering from Graves’ disease … an immune system disorder. She says one of the symptoms effects the muscles behind her eyeballs … which she tried to turn into a joke.
Graves’ disease is an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones.
Signs and symptoms associated with Graves’ disease can include anxiety, fatigue, weight loss, changes in menstral cycles, tremors, and more.
“I feel like there are birds swimming around in my head. You know, like a cartoon? Like, constantly high — but I’m not high,” said Wendy. “My doctor has prescribed, as of today, three weeks of vacation.”
“I’ll be back in two. I’m not an heiress — who is going to pay my bills? Are you serious? I’m just saying, I come from working class,” she joked.
If you’ve been listening to ‘The B. Scott Show’ podcast, we’ve been saying for weeks something’s been going on with Wendy’s health.
