Multiple award-winning Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly referred to as 2Face AKA 2Baba Idiba, has called on Nigerians to embark on a campaign against the ongoing fuel scarcity in the country.
Yesterday, Friday, December 22, the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, accused petroleum marketers of hoarding and diversion of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol, thereby fuelling the scarcity of the commodity across the country.
Nigerians are currently having difficulty getting petrol, which has led to the hike in transport fares and increase in traffic jam resulting from longer queues of vehicles and individuals in petrol stations across the country.
“Make we start campaign say make dem shut down any station wey no wan sell petrol normal,” he wrote on twitter.
2Face’s freedom fighting spirit didn’t do well with Nigerians on twitter this time around, they reminded him of how he chickened out of a nationwide protest he called against President Buhari’s government and his obnoxious policies earlier this year.
24 hours to the “One Voice Nigeria” protest slated for February 6, 2017, the ‘African Queen’ crooner announced the cancellation of the protest via his Instagram page.
Apparently, his first failed attempt to stage a protest in the country made his fans lost interest in his “a luta” ability, they told him clearly that he’s not fit to campaign against #FuelScarcity.
