Langbasa Coronates First King
The people of Langbasa reacted joyously to support their new Oba
History wa made in the Langbasa community, Lagos Nigeria as they coronated for the first ever monarch over the whole of Langbasa East local government in person of Oba Hafeez Olakunle Badiru, the Elejigbo of Langbasa, Kajerojaiye 1.
In what seems to be a great achievement and development to the community, the people of Langbasa reacted joyously to support their new Oba throughout the event packed week to usher in the reign of the Elejigbo of Langbasa.
And as expected the people of Langbasa would expect him to jump quickly into action as they can’t wait to experience the development they expect from him in certain areas such as education and other strategic requirements.
As important as Education is in the world, many seem to lack its quality therefore in an attempt to promote education in Langbasa, the Oba was able to secure admission in the Lagos State University for 10 indigenes of Langbasa. This was made know by Dr. Kolade Adams, the coronation committee secretary.
Furthermore, Chief Adeyinka Oshekoya, Baale of Akungba Eti-Osa local government, has urged the Oba to pay more attention and concern to the needs of the people of Langbasa. He added that the community’s hope and expectations is for him to have an open hear for the people to ensure good leadership.
As the first crowned Oba in Eti-Osa East, the people will expect more from the former civil servant such that he can ensure the provision of basic amenities are provided by the state government led by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
According to Aare Babalaje Falola of Ejigbo, “we the community members are expecting him to have a good relationship with the government so as to enhance development in Eti-Osa. I know him to be an honest and hobble man and we expect him to do the right thing and bring success and development in the area”.
Meanwhile, as much as the people expect tremendous changes during the reign of their new Oba, they were also full of commendations and wishes for a successful run during his time.
Honorable Biliahmin Samson Arobiade the Executive Vice Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Government said, ” his royal Majesty Oba Hafeez Badiru has been performing well in d past. He is a leader of d people, a leader of reliance, a leader who consult his followers before taking a step, a leader who has a sense of responsibility, who has passion for his people, who has feelings for the people and I pray he will continue to succeed in his future roles.
Mr. Kasali Wahid stated that the community is happy to have a king in the history of langbasa which serves as an opportunity to make the community to move forward and make new development and prayed for God to continue to be with him.
The Langbasa community is blessed with resources that can be explored to better the welfare of the locality and its environments. As the first king to be crowned in the history of Eti-Osa East Local Government, the community expects him to make more success and development to langbasa community and Eti-Osa as a whole.
