Skales Reveals He Has Made Peace With Wizkid
the Shake Body singer says they have learned to navigate their difference and speak that familiar language
Popular Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, who performs under the mononym Skales revealed in a recent interview with Moet Abebe, that has made peace with Wizkid.
Recall that February 2015 saw one of the most heated Twitter feuds between the former EME stars after Skales took to social media to claim that he wrote one of Wizkid’s hottest songs, ‘Super Star’, and the Star Boy clapped back with claims that he wrote songs for Skales.
“Wiz is a great guy,” he told Moet Abebe in this new interview. “I can’t deny the fact that we started together. He is doing really big. We are all doing really great now, in our different ways, in our different lanes. I am inspired by his works. Big ups to him.”
He continued, saying he hopes they will collaborate on a project in the future. However, he added that they have never been chummy-chum. “It has never been like that. It has always been about business between me and him, even back at EME we were just cool for the business and music.”
“Whatever happened, happened. The past is behind now. As much as I don’t like to talk about the past anymore, it’s all positive energy now.”
