Tekno is set to become Sony Music Global’s biggest Nigerian artiste yet.
Recall that in November, Paul Okoye of Upfront and Bookings hinted that the Triple MG singer had clinched a Sony Music deal, joining the likes of Davido and Ycee on the prestigious label. But the deal was only in talks, because only yesterday, Tekno and his Triple MG boss Ubi Franklin jetted out of the country to the United States, where the deal would be finalised.
Now, Mr Okoye, who is Africa’s top promoter and middle man in the music deal, has taken to his Instagram to post a video of them in New York City, confirming that the singer got a whopping $4m deal with the top music company. Tekno has now beaten Davido who received $1m from same company in January 2016.

It most definitely is going to be a great year for Tekno, especially since Billboard named him in the list of stars to watch in 2017.
We will update later with photos from the signing ceremony.
