Drake’s Views is set for a return to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart after a seven week break from the top of the chart.
Industry forecasters suggest the set could earn around 55,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 22, which should bump it back to the top of the list. The album has tallied 12 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200, and was last No. 1 on the chart dated Aug. 13.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Oct. 8-dated Billboard 200 chart — where Views may return at No. 1 — is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Sept. 25.
Views debuted at No. 1 on the May 21-dated chart, and has never departed the top four slots on the weekly chart during its 20-week run.
As for debuts in next week’s top 10, watch for Mac Miller’s The Devine Feminine to possibly start at No. 3, with around 40,000 to 45,000 units. Miller last hit the chart a year ago with GO:OD AM, which debuted and peaked at No. 4 on the Oct. 10, 2015 chart with 87,000 units (73,000 in traditional album sales) according to Nielsen Music.
The new top 10 may also see debuts from Aaron Lewis’ Sinner and Usher’s Hard II Love. Both are aiming for a start of around 35,000 units each.Join Our BBM Channel For Juicy Updates Here (CH Pin: C00401DF4)
