Yesterday, 27th of August, 2016, Popular Nigerian female singer, Waje shared the amazing gift of a bible she received from the Irish singer, Bono and captioned it:
“What re the odds that one of the greatest gives me a Bible as a gift!!!!! Thank you Bono. Lord, I hear you loud and clear.”
The U2 lead singer who created the ONE Campaign, has been an advocate pushing for increased aid for fighting against poverty in African countries. Last year, Nigerian acts like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Yemi Alade and Waje herself, teamed up with Bono to produce the ‘Strong Girl’ movement team song. And the Irish legend, also famous for his activism, has been collaborating with the artiste to campaign for Africa’s welfare issues.
During his visit to Nigeria last year, he met Waje for the first time. And yesterday, at the event attended by dignitaries like Aliko Dangote, Bono wrote Waje a touching note on the religious book he gifted her.
“I have faith that our work together will leave great fruit,” he said.
