Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour has been, if nothing else, proof that the rapper has unparalleled connections and colleagues.
Through the first leg of the North American trek, Drizzy has brought out Kanye West and Rihanna as special guests, with his final Madison Square Garden show in New York City Monday night (Aug. 8) marked by appearances from Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe and Remy Ma. Except that Toronto’s chosen son wasn’t done or close to it, as he ended his set by bringing out J. Cole.
The North Carolina rapper performed three songs – “No Role Modelz” and “A Tale Of 2 Citiez” off 2014 Forest Hills Drive as well as Jeremih’s “Planez,” for which he lends a guest verse.
Drake doled out plenty of praise for the platinum selling Cole as well, calling him, “one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation”.
