The biggest act in Ubi Franklin-led TripleMG, Iyanya has officially exit the record label for his own record label.
Earlier in July the news about Iyanya leaving TripleMG surfaced online, with both Ubi and Iyanya playing hide and seek with the media as regards the new development.
Days after the news, TripleMG CEO, Ubi opened up in official press release which reads in part; “Yes, Iyanya is starting a new label which will be a company out of Made Men Music with a different structure and a different focus, aiming at growing our industry.”
On Wednesday night, July 27, 2016 Iyanya announced he signed new management deal with Temple Management company which is also home to top Nigerian entertainers like, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Seyi Shay, Funmi Iyanda, Mavin Records and more.
Iyanya also revealed his former partner, Ubi who congratulated him on his new deal on social media is cool with his moves. Iyanya further confirmed he’d be releasing his forthcoming album under his new record label and management company.
In Iyanya’s words;
Dear fans, I am pleased to announce that I have now signed on with Temple Management Company.
About a year ago, Ubi and I discussed options to diversify our business interests and creative visions and we both agreed that we would explore all avenues open to us.
So much has happened since and I have now completed work on my new album which will be released under a new record label.
With both @thetemplecompany and the new album, I am now embarking in a direction which will not only bring you the same quality, verve and energy that you have become accustomed to, it will take things to the next level.
Ubi remains my brother and we both look forward to this new phase of our careers. God bless you all.
