UK Lifts Burna Boy’s 15-Year Ban After 5 Years
Burna Boy was reportedly arrested by the police in the UK for being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death in year 2010.
The Nigerian reggae/dance-hall singer was tried as a minor and sent to jail, 11 months after Burna Boy was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’.
However, Burna Boy allegedly disobeyed authorities and travelled back to Nigeria where he signed a record deal with Aristocrat Records. On trying to return to the UK after his deal, he was deported to Nigeria and barred from the UK for 15 years.
Fast forward to 2015, Burna Boy hinted on twitter that his ban has been lifted after five years and he can now start visiting the UK again.
Burna Boy will make his first appearance in England tonight as he arrives at Heathrow airport aboard an Arik flight from Lagos at 6pm, he announced on twitter.
