Amodu Shuaibu, the former head coach of the Super Eagles has passed away at the age of 58 in Benin, Edo state capital.
This is coming three days after the death of former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi.
Amodu’s remains have been deposited at the Stella Obasanjo Women and Children Hospital in Benin. May his soul rest in peace.
A close family source said that Amodu had complained of chest pain, before giving up, while the statement released by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) confirming his death reads;
“NFF Technical Director, Amodu Shuaibu has died at the age of 58. The four – time Coach of the Super Eagles complained of chest pains on Friday night and died in his sleep. RIP Amodu Shuaibu’s death comes three days after that of former Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Keshi.”
